Michael Blank

Education:

University of Baltimore, School of Law – Baltimore, Maryland, JD 1975;

University of Maryland – College Park, Maryland    BA/Political Science 1972.

Professional History:

Mr. Blank is an international lawyer and actively practiced law from 1977- 1990 at which time he became a Swiss  private banker. From  1991-2003  Mr. Blank  as  Senior  VP  initiated  and  managed  Bank  Julius  Baer, Palm Beach.

From  2004- June  2008  as  Managing  Director/Senior Advisor  he  was  responsible  for  establishing  Credit Suisse Private Advisors, Miami which served as the first SEC registered office for CS Zurich in the U.S.

In  July  2008  he  founded  Swiss  Asset  Advisors AG,  Zug Switzerland  a  multi-family  office  serving  HNW clients and their investment needs.

Mr. Blank is co-founder of MIDAS, SAM in Monaco which is the first auction house in Europe exclusively presenting exceptional colorless and colored Diamonds.

Mr. Blank’s expertise is in project management and development and he has contributed his skill set to the Diamond  Commodity  Fund.  In  addition  he  oversees  all  fund  raising  activities  for  the  DCF.  He  is  an internationally  recognized  speaker  and  lectures  on  diamonds.  He  contributes  to  a  number  of  leading publications  in  the  financial  industry  and  has  written a  series  of  articles  entitled  “Diamonds – The  New Asset Class”.
