The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine came under fire
Yesterday, Kiev Rabbi Moshe Asman came under fire from Russian artillery. This happened in Kherson, where the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine helped volunteers and rescuers evacuate civilians affected by a dam break at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station.
The video of the shelling was posted by Rabbi Asman himself on his Facebook: “I am in Kherson, we were sailing for people – miraculously survived,” he signed it.
The Chief Rabbi has been helping people from the first days of the war, he provided food, shelter and support to people who lost their homes.
EJP strongly condemns the military aggression in Ukraine and wishes Moshe Asman strength and power in his brave mission!
