Roman Grinberg

Roman Grinberg, born in 1962 into a family of musicians in the former Bessarabian shtetl Belz (Balti, USSR), located in modern Moldova.

Grew up with Yiddish as a mother tongue;

At the age of 10 emigration to Israel along with the parents;

1975 moved to Vienna, Austria;

Studied piano, singing and clarinet at the Vienna Conservatory;

Currently working as a professional musician, composer, conductor in Vienna;

For the last 30 years strongly involved in the cultural life of Jewish Vienna;

Served in the cultural committee of the IKG – Jewish Community Vienna.
