Holocaust Memorial Day 2023

27 January marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. Every year on that day Holocaust Memorial Day takes place.

Holocaust Memorial Day encourages remembrance in a world scarred by genocide. This day promotes and supports Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) – the international day on 27 January to remember the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside the millions of other people killed under Nazi persecution.

“We must stand together united’ Unite observes Holocaust Memorial Day – and highlights the difference that ‘ordinary people’ can make in fight against hatred and intolerance. This day we will be remembering and reflecting on the Holocaust and other genocides around the world.

EJP Chairman Vadim Rabinovich expressed the need to remember and stay united.
