Hanukkah Greetings from EJP Secretary General Tomer Orni

Dear Members of the European Jewish Parliament,

Sisters and brothers,

In Hanukkah we celebrate the miracle of historical and cultural justice; the triumph of light over darkness…!

While we face, as a poeple, communities and individuals constant attacks and challenges, we remain hopeful; and we believe in the triumph of light over darkness.

We are confronted daily by antisemitism, anti-zionism, BDS propaganda, the banning of Kosher practices and more; yet we are committed to our Jewish identity, our shared values; and to the State of Israel.

Over more than 3,000 years our people faced the greatest of challenges and persecution; yet we have prevailed. The light has won over darkness…!

When poeple ask you:
‘Do you really believe there is antisemitism in Europe’?You can reply by asking back:‘Why is every Synagogue and Jewish school in Europe guarded?’
The answer is clear…

My friends,
We will prevail. We will not be deterred by propaganda and BDS bullying.
