EJP Letter to President Sarkozy

Your Excellency, Mr President,

We write to expresses our gratitude and admiration for the apprehension of the terrorist who murdered three Jewish children and their teacher at the Ozar Hatorah School in Toulouse.

The exemplary reaction and solidarity of the French authorities, under your leadership, provides hope and courage to Jews and non-Jews alike. Your determination as the President of the French Republic strengthens our belief in justice and in the fight against terror and anti-Semitism.

The thoughts of the European Jewish Parliament (EJP) at this moment are with the families of the victims and the wounded of this barbaric killing. We pay homage to the French police who risk their lives in combating terrorism. We also stand with the French Republic for the loss of the three soldiers murdered earlier this month.

We hope that your leadership will inspire European and world leaders in their approach towards combating terrorism, anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism.
