125 years since the First Zionist Congress

Today we celebrate 125 years since the First Zionist Congress that took place on 28th of August, 1897 in Basel, Switzerland. The congress adopted the Basel Program and established the World Zionist Organization, the body that created the economic foundation that was needed for the establishment of the future Jewish state. It was then and there, that Theodor Benjamin Zeev Herzl, started to transform his dream in action, that, 50 years late, led to the birth of today’s State of Israel.

EJP member Maximillian Marco Katz shared the photo taken by photographer Jerry Lanier during the US Run for the Wall 2022: ” Southern Route bikers holding up the Israeli-US flag I have brought with me at this commemorative crossing motorcycle ride. God bless them all. “
