EJP Statement

On 7th of December, 2017, the European Jewish Parliament held an annual General Assembly in Brussels. During the meeting, MEJPs adopted the following statement:

Brussels, December 7th, 2017 We, the Members of the European Jewish Parliament gathered for our GeneralAssembly at the European Parliament in Brussels express our strong support for the United States decision to recognize Jerusalem as a capital of Israel. Jerusalem has been a capital of the Jewish people for more than three thousand years and will always continue to be the eternal and undivided capital of the State of Israel.

We hope that this is a historical decision that will change the face of the Middle East and will help to bring peace between Israelis and Palestinians. We are sending our message of support to Israel and her people to achieve their aspiration to live in peace and harmony with their neighbors.

The European Jewish Parliament will continue its efforts to build bridges between countries, peoples and religions to achieve peace and prosperity in the Middle East and around the globe.
