Rachel Levy

Rachel Levy (The Netherlands, 1973)  is an independent investigative journalist, editor and author. She works for traditional and online media, Dutch and international. She specializes in themes like European migration and international law (criminal, private, public). Among others, she writes about the various Hague tribunals.

Previously, she was editor of the Dutch Jewish Weekly (NIW).

Rachel Levy has a special interest in Jewish law and Jewish women's affairs. She is a member of the European Committee of the Jewish Law Association.

Rachel Levy is the author of ISRAEL OP EEN DOORDEWEEKSE DAG (Uitgeverij Contact, Amsterdam, 2008), a book focusing on the the international legal implications of divorce and child custody for immigrant women in Israel.

Rachel Levy studied Jewish Studies in New York (Jewish Theological Seminary) and Amsterdam (University of Amsterdam) and also holds an MA dehree in International Relations (specialization International Law) from the University of Amsterdam.
