Member of European Jewish Parliament Lev Samovski took part in the 4th Jewish interactive Media Summit

On December 8th the member of European Jewish Parliament Lev Samovski took part in the 4th  Jewish interactive Media Summit.

Since 2014, every two years, the Israel Government Press Office (GPO), together with the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, has held a unique conference – the Jewish Media Summit, in which more than 400 journalists from around the world have already participated. The journalists who have attended the conference write for Jewish media all over the world. They cover Israel in all the various media arenas and convey their opinions through their writing.

This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was  held   in a virtual digital platform and was marked by Israel’s solidarity with the Diaspora in following vital issues: Strengthening Israel’s ties with the Diaspora, Jewish communities and the COVID-19 pandemic, growing world antisemitism and the BDS phenomenon.

The conference was   welcomed  by President Reuven (Ruby) Rivlin, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Diaspora Minister Omer Yankelevich and Alternate Prime Minister and Defense Minister Benny Gantz  and was  attended  by Israeli officials and senior figures from the Diaspora and the Jewish media.
