French Senator Nathalie Goulet: Ukrainian authorities must resolutely oppose neo-Nazi movements

Following the visit of Ukrainian delegation of parliamentarians headed by EJP Chairman Vadim Rabinovich, co-chairman of the political party “Opposition Platform – For Life” where the overview of the situation with fascism was discussed, the authorities in the French Senate urged Ukrainian government to oppose the neo – Nazi movements.

Europe must take an extremely tough stance on countering extremism in Ukraine, and President Volodymyr Zelensky must take appropriate measures, as France is doing, because we are talking about Ukraine’s sovereignty.

“The Ukrainian government must decisively oppose all kinds of neo-Nazi movements that are active in the country.”

This was stated by French Senator Goulet during a meeting with the deputies of the French Senate, as well as the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, EJP Chairman, co-chairman of the Opposition Platform – For Life party Vadim Rabinovich.

“We discussed topics against the neo-Nazi movement in Ukraine. It is dangerous, and in order to overcome it, we will be in constant communication. You need to be extremely careful with these topics in France as well,” Goulet said.

“Perhaps it is worth thinking that Europe would choose a fairly strong position and it is also necessary for the President of Ukraine to apply certain measures. France is already discussing this with Ukraine. The President of France and the President of Ukraine are in fairly friendly relations and most likely they raise these issues,” she said. Gulet.
She added that it is important to be in dialogue and be able to negotiate. We need to exchange experience and knowledge.
