EJP members visited Armenia on December, 7th, 2014

 Members of the European Jewish Parliament (EJP) visited Erevan, Armenia, on December 07- 10, where they shared common values and discussed further cooperation with Armenian Government and leaders of different organizations.

High ranking Government officials and the President of Armenia himself, Mr. Serzh Sargsyan, met with the EJP delegates.

As a result of the session of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences in participation of the EJP delegation and the World Armenian Congress, a joint-communiqué was issued, undersigned on behalf of the World Armenian Congress by its Chairman, Honorary Ambassador of UNESCO, Mr. Ara Abrahamyan and on behalf of the EJP by Mr. Vadim Rabinovich. Among the main issues addressed by the communiqué was an unequivocal condemnation of all forms of discrimination, xenophobia, racism and anti-Semitism. It also spoke against a huge threat to world peace – the spread of international terrorism and for solving any conflict based on the principles of international law and civilized dialogue.
