EJP gathers in Kyiv for its General Assembly on June, 14th, 2015

Members of the European Jewish Parliament (EJP) from 47 countries gathered in Kyiv, Ukraine, on December 07- 10, where they held their General Assembly of the year.

The program included the following main topics: Discussion regarding the geopolitical situation in Ukraine and the conflict with Russia, including a briefing by the leader of the opposition in the Ukrainian Parliament, MPYuriy Boyko. MP Boyko also delivered a warm letter to the GA from the speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament.
The Chairman Vadim Rabinovich proposed structural changes regarding how to make EJPmore effective and efficient, including the proposal to elect Secretary General and Vice Chairmen; and to implement smaller group missions.
During the Assembly there was a discussion on the EJP's position and potential engagement with the right and left wing parties in Europe, fighting anti-Semitism and conduct community-based programs.
