EJP members gathered in in Kyiv for the General Assembly on June 24 – 25, 2013

European Jewish Parliament took  place in Ukraine for the first time.

Representatives of the Ukrainian deputy corps attended the EJP general session. They addressed European parliamentarians and confirmed Ukraine’s desire for European integration and our country’s desire to become part of the European community. EJP members were called on  to act as lobbyists for Ukraine’s European integration path.

EJP delegates also discussed pressing issues of the life of Jewish communities in Europe, drew attention to the problematic strengthening of anti-Semitic sentiments.

Most EJP delegates spoke in favor of deepening and expanding contacts with representatives of the entire political spectrum of Europe.

The GA also included high level meetings with Ukrainian officials and Jewish community leaders.
