EJP General Assembly and The First Summit of Eurasian Jewry Held in Kyiv, Ukraine

On November 27, the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, became the venue for the next General Assembly of the European Jewish Parliament. EJP members are representatives of the Jewish communities from over 40 European countries. The EJP General Assembly was held at the Fairmont Hotel in Kiev.

EJP General Assembly in Kyiv welcomed government officials, leaders of state institutions, politicians, businessmen, jewish spiritual    leaders, ambassadors, public figures, and guests from many European countries, journalists and diplomats.

This session was devoted to the problems of anti-Semitism and the search for peaceful dialogue. EJP is one of the key Jewish organizations that is taking steps to maintain dialogue and peace.

This General Assembly was also unique as for the first time there was a Joint Session of the European Jewish Parliament and the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) – Summit of Eurasian Jewry, the aim of the Summit was to develop common strategies and steps to eradicate anti-Semitism and support Jewish communities around the world . Discussions and meetings were held on seeking ways to continue peaceful dialogue and set up actions to support the State of Israel.

Summit of Eurasian Jewry was held on November 27, in Anatevka, a small village 30 km West of Kiev, hosting Jewish community institutions. It was founded in 2014 by Rabbi Moshe Reuven Azman with the help of dedicated enthusiasts, primarily as a refuge place for Jewish families with the aim to restore Jewish community institutions.
