European Jewish Parliament expresses deep condolences to the families of the victims of the tragedy that happened during the traditional celebration of Lag BaOmer at the grave of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai on Mount Meron in Israel.
The large crowd caused a stampede, killing dozens and injuring hundreds.
Our thoughts and prayers today are with everyone who has lost loved ones. We also pray for the speedy recovery of the other victims.
