Bnei Brith Greece visit to the Baltic countries

Thirty two members of Bnei Brith Greece travelled to the Baltic countries on 25-31 May 2019. They paid tribute to the heritage of jewish people.

The group visited Vilnius, the town once known as the “Jerusalem of the North”, a place where Jewish community left its biggest trace in Lithuanian history.

It was followed by the arrival at the center of Kaunas for a visit to the beautiful Chorale Synagogue as well as its Children’s Memorial.

In Riga the group visited the only remaining Synagogue, which today serves as the central meeting place for the Jews of Latvia. Visit to Tallinn was also dedicated to visiting memorial sites.

The visit was fruitful and full of emotions as there remnants of a Jewish presence and life in almost every place on the tour in the Baltic States.
